A swimming pool is the ultimate yard upgrade you can get. This is a big investment and you need to make smart choices regarding size, shape, location and the type of pool to install.
The majority of today’s pools are built of vinyl, fiberglass, or concrete (called either wet shotcrete or Gunite, depending upon how it’s mixed and applied). Poured concrete pools and concrete block pools have fallen out of favor.
Marbelite is a mixture of white cement, marble chippings and marble dust it contains waterproof additives and rapid hardeners – marbelite has been tried and tested since inception in 1965. The combination of these products results in a high strength surface suitable for the surfacing of new and old pool structures.
Marbelite is a superior long lasting surface application for concrete pools that can last between 15-20 years. Marbelite is optimal for in ground concrete pools as it can be applied on irregularly shaped pools and unequal surfaces. Marbelite is a completely waterproof surface finish with great durability and strength against underwater degradation due to variations of cold and hot weather.
Gunite is a mixture of sand, water and cement - exactly like concrete. However unlike concrete which is poured into moulds, almost always leaving seams, Gunite is sprayed onto rebar using an air "gun" hence the name.
Because it is sprayed on with the compressed air gun, Gunite can be applied on vertical or curved surfaces, without seams forming thereby being more cost effective and cheaper than traditional concrete pools
Fibreglass pools are preformed shells made in a factory and then installed on site. As such fibreglass pools are the most modern, quick foolproof way to install your pool.
Our fibreglass is made with NPG resins which is standards approved for Marine applications and has UV protection ensuring vibrant colours for years to come. The anti microbial action coupled with smooth gloss finish inhibits algae growth, reducing chemical usage in your pool.
